April showers, May flowers?

DC put out their solicitations for May 2005. All the DC imprints, including Vertigo, Wildstorm, Johnny DC and CMX. There's quite a few promising comics out in May, but one of them feels like a birthday present just for me (May 27 kids, mark it down, I like DVDs and TPBs).

Kyle Rayner's back! I can't express how much I'm looking forward to this. Dave Gibbons writing, Ivan Reis on pencils and Kyle Rayner, on his own, doing the hero thing in deep space. Ivan Reis is a tremendous artist, and lucky enough to be moved off some Superman title and put on what will likely be the best comic of 2005. Yeah. I'm delusional, but this is gonna be good. And it's nice for GL fans to have an option in May, as Hal Jordan's ongoing series launches then too.
But don't take my word for it. Check out the solicits. Lots of stuff there, and I think John Byrne is drawing like three books in May. Here's hoping he kicks Kryptonian butt on Action Comics! What looks good, what looks bad, what is gonna bore you, what's gonna get your blood pumping, especially in the naughtiest of regions?
