The Week at the Curve
The week of Feb. 6 was a great one for the New England Patriots, Peter David, and Alex Segura; as the Hulk scribe successfully picked the Pats to win 24-21 over the Eagles, and our very own TGC spinmaster released his first graphic novel reviews for the Miami Herald. The Super Bowl results were predictable, as evidenced by David's success. Watching the game wasn't a total waste of time though, as ad watchers were treated to a comic book heavy night of commercials, as well as two great movie trailers for Sin City and Batman Begins. Meanwhile, Alex made latter week Curve news by trading quotes with Frank Tieri about his Hercules mini. Good to know controversy is still alive and well--especially seeing as how Markisan hasn't sparked any 20-message threads this week.
We'll continue saying what we want though. And no form of Quesadan hegemony will threaten to take away our right to do so. Furthermore, we will not be Kevin Smith's mouthpiece; though I can't imagine him proposing such an arrangement following last week's craziness.
The big signing news this week was without a doubt Ed Brubaker, now an exclusive with Marvel. And you know what? I'm very excited. So long as half of what he puts out is as good as his current arc on Captain America, Marvel should be in very good shape.
And since Brubaker's my reason to be excited this week, I think that fairly wraps up the news of the week here in Curveland. Godspeed, Curve Cadets. And look out for that Superman. I hear he's a dick.
