An interview with Mark Waid

I recently did a short interview for TNI with Mark Waid on coming off Fantastic Four, going onto Spider-Man, working with Mike Weiringo and exclusivity. I didn't get as much time with Waid as I would have liked, particularly on the Spider-Man stuff, but he was a trooper to give me what he did, as he was sick and overscheduled at the time.

So yeah. Short interview, fast perspectives. I'm hoping to get Waid for something more in-depth at some point in the future.

Q: Did you get to tell all of the stories you set out with?

A: Y'know, I really did, I think.

I love that answer. It's always awesome to see someone coming off a title having done what they'd planned to do. I imagine it's a good feeling, especially in this case, considering it wasn't that long ago when Waid's run on the title was almost aborted just as it was gaining momentum.
