This was supposed to be different...
POSSIBLE SPOILERS
Ok, so I just finished reading The Ultimates 2 #3.
The trial of Bruce Banner/Hulk takes place this issue. He is tried for his crimes against humanity, namely the untimely deaths of 800 people. The court scenes were short and semi-sweet. The art was as nice as always. But the ending...
The ending.
Anyone see where I'm heading here? No?
If I wanted to read about Bruce Banner being a nomad, on the run from the law, I'd buy the Bruce Jones trades and reread them.
Here we have a story that places Banner on the run because of the death of 800 people. Banner was on the run in the regular series because of the supposed death of a little boy. Here's an idea, Marvel editorial: why not kill Bruce Banner and perhaps have someone else become the Hulk in the Ultimate universe? I mean, Banner is part of a group of scientists working to devise a new super soldier serum
Is it just me or does it seem like the Ultimate universe is becoming more like the regular Marvel universe? In this issue, we also have Matt Murdock as a lawyer in the defense of Bruce Banner. I mean, come on, just how predictable is that? I guess there are no other lawyers available to defend Banner? Is Murdock the only lawyer in the Ultimate universe? Is it too much to ask for a bit more ingenuity when rehashing old, used up ideas?
I'm tired. In so many ways.
At least there's pretty Hitch art to look at...
