The King, Eh?

Comic book big money man Michael Carbonaro has launched his own website. So who is this guy?

Michael Carbonaro is an Advisor to the Overstreet Price Guide, the owner of NYC's Big Apple Conventions, and the chief buyer for Neat Stuff Collectibles.

One fateful day, at the age of seven, Michael came home from school and threw a party with his chums (which he enjoys doing to this day), unbeknownst to his working Mom, Brigid. Brigid returned home early to find her exuberant son and his friends jumping on the bed, eating pop corn and penny candy, listing to loud Rock' N' Roll music with the Boob Tube full blast. As punishment to the little Monster, Brigid took almost all of Mike's beloved comic books and threw them in the building incinerator. Now over 40 years later Michael has reclaimed his collection and much more, as the Nation's Biggest Buyer of Comic Books and Comic Art.

So he claims. I'd think with such a bank roll, he could at least pop for a better site designer. Read away though, and bask in his ability to move high price tagged comics.

"Launching this new website has been a lot of fun. It’s incredible all the places I end up, digging through soot in people’s basements or coming across that one of a kind find," commented Carbonaro. "I think people really enjoy the Indiana Jones aspects of discovering amazing stuff! The site also gives people a chance to find out what their comics and collectibles are really worth. It’s like Antiques Roadshow, on the Road….driving drunk."
