9/11 comic in the news

Reuters (among other news outlets) reports on the previously announced Hill and Wang adaptation of "The 9/11 Report" this September:

The independent bipartisan panel, informally known as the September 11 commission, prepared an account of the 2001 attacks and made recommendations on guarding against future attacks.

The graphic book cuts the panel's more than 500-page report down to 144 pages of stark comic-book-style images depicting the sequence of events for each of the four hijacked planes, according to a partial advance copy of the Farrar, Straus and Giroux book obtained by Reuters on Monday.

In one graphic depiction of the events on United 93, the flight that crashed in Pennsylvania, passengers are seen bloodied and battling hijackers wielding knives.

Although originally announced a few months ago, no doubt the increased interest in the movie "United 93" helped bring it into the limelight.
