Flint Journal talks to Sunder Raj
The Flint (Michigan) Journal chats with Sunder Raj, artist for Hack/Slash, on the time he spent in Flint working on Dark Minds, a graphic novel:
Sunder Raj had his doubts about spending six months in Flint after years of working in Rome and in bustling cities in his native Malaysia.
The movies of filmmaker Michael Moore - specifically "Roger & Me" - had the comic book and graphic artist leery about what he'd encounter while in Flint to draw and color "Dark Minds." The 130-page graphic novel is the biggest project of his young career.
But since arriving here in October, the artist for editions of such best-selling series as "Hack/Slash," "G.I. Joe: Master & Apprentice," "Red Sonja" and more has cottoned to the area and his chance to work with editor and Burton resident Marshall Dillon.
