Changing of the Guard
It seems almost cliche to be announcing this as we move into a new year, but the times, as they say, are a-changin'. Due to some exciting changes in his life, Alex Segura, Jr., founder of this blog, will no longer serve as managing editor of The Great Curve. While he hasn't been posting as much lately as he used to, he has been very active behind the scenes, and I know that all of us in TGC family will miss him. Good luck with your new endeavor, Alex, and thanks for everything!
So, that leaves you with me. Alex has passed the torch to yours truly, and I'll do my best to maintain the standards Alex and the rest of the TGC team have put into place. While I've only been here a short time, I've had a lot of fun so far writing about comics every day and interacting with some of the creators who delight us every Wednesday. I look forward to doing more of that.
As you probably know, we recently began a couple of new features here that I hope you checked out. I'm also happy to announce that Kevin Melrose has agreed to join the TGC family. Welcome aboard, Kevin!
And there are more changes ahead, some exciting stuff that I can't go into yet. 2006 is going to be a big year for our crew. So stay tuned!

Congratulations, JK!
What does the JK stand for?
John Keathley ... "Keathley" was my great-grandmother's last name.
And thanks!
More Kevin Melrose is always a good thing.
Congrats to JK, Good luck to Alex and welcome to Kevin!
