Brian Singer Moonlights

Over at Bluetights.net you can access the video journal for Brian Singer as he directs Superman Returns in Australia. Each entry details an aspect of the production while the classic John Williams score plays in the background.

The most interesting entry is number 7, "The Call". It shows Singer visiting the set of King Kong to help out director Peter Jackson. Jackson has been exhausted by the shoot and he asks Singer to oversee some scenes while he tries to get some sleep.

While it's nice of Singer to help out, I can't help wondering why Jackson didn't just have one of his assistants take over.
