Neal Adams on X-Men!

This had better not be a leftover April Fools Joke.

Over at Neal Adams' website, there is a post which confirms that Adams will be illustrating eight pages for an upcoming X-Men comic book. Over at SBC, there is a brief comment ,at the bottom of a Clifford Meth column, that says Adams will be filling in for Dave Cockrum on Giant-Size X-Men #3. If this is true, it would be his first published X-Men story since a brief, but well remembered, stint with Roy Thomas in the late 60s. In the 80s, Adams was the planned artist for the God Loves, Man Kills graphic novel, but was replaced by Brent Anderson.

Checkout the announcement and some initial sketches.

Update: Millarworld has a post on shipping updates which states that Adams has replaced Cockrum on Giant-Size X-Men #3.
