Note To The Sweaty: Stay Away From Electro

Newsarama interviews Christian Smith, superhero costumer extraordinaire.

The secret, he says, is in the accessories: "That would be the most important part: floating balls, electricity, fire. Without that it's just a suit."

The Goblin Glider and expandable wings all sound cool -- but electricity? Fire?
NRAMA: There's electricity in Electro’s gloves? How do you do that? [... D]o you shock people with it?

CS: I try not to! It’s just who the character is. It shoots electricity out of both hands, about 110,000 volts. It’s enough to put you on the ground. But you’re right that it could be dangerous. Unless you have total common sense and a background in doing special effects, you shouldn’t try it.

How true. Probably also inadvisable: making fun of Electro at short range.
