Motor City celebrates Batman TV anniversary
Michigan's Novi News previews this weekend's Motor City Comic Con, which will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Batman TV series with appearances by five members of the cast.
Adam West, Burt Ward, Yvonne Craig, Lee Meriwether and Julie Newmar (pictured) are scheduled to attend. One of the Batmobiles and the Batboat will be on display.
Convention coordinator Gary Bishop told the newspaper that 15,000 people attended last year's show.
Comics creators scheduled to appear include Don Rosa, Steve Rude, Jim Steranko, George Perez, Guy Davis, Paul Gulacy, Joseph Michael Lisner, Dan Mishkin and Tom Orzechowski.

I want to go to the Motor Con pretty badly, as I live half-an-hour away, but I just can't justify the high cost to walk in the door. I think it would end up being $70 (plus parking!) for my wife and I to just enter the building, and since we're mostly interested in the dealers that just doesn't make sense to us. If some of my favorite creators were there it would be different, but since I'm not into any of the comic personalities there I have to pass.
Too bad, as I'm really in the mood for a con.
