Comic shocker: Grandfather baffled by Batman: Hush

When his grandsons visit, Tillsonburg (Ontario) News columnist Ross Andrews comes to a startling discovery: He's out of touch with Batman comics.

What's more, he doesn't quite get Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee's Hush storyline:

I've read both volumes through, the second one twice. Who are the bad guys? Half of them are women, and what women!

... Some evil genius, Hush by pseudonym, is messing with the minds of the super heroes and the ultra villains. Batman is trying to figure out who knows him so intimately, both as Bruce Wayne, playboy zillionaire and Batman the crime fighter.

... I haven't yet figured out who Hush is. The story ends with Catwoman walking away from the budding romance because she nor Batman are sure if it's a genuine attraction or the machination of Crane.
Don't feel bad, Mr. Andrews. I'm still scratching my head over Hush, too.

This article reads as it is - an old guy reviewing comics. Ugh! Poorly written junk. My dad lives in Tillsonburg - I'll have to warn him.

I was a little creeped out by his interest in the female characters -- "Now there are babes all over these guys"?!? -- but otherwise I thought his "review" was hilarious ... in a "You kids and your new-fangled comics" kind of way.
