Aquaman's bumpy ride

As of Thursday, the day The CW revealed it wouldn't be adding Aquaman to its fall TV schedule, a page promoting the series was still available on the network's website.

That page has since been removed.

The tentative timeslot, 9 p.m. Wednesdays, now will be filled by One Tree Hill.

Aquaman -- intermittently titled Mercy Reef and The Reef -- had been heavily hyped by the WB prior to its merger with UPN, and until recently was viewed as a sure bet for the fall lineup. Of course, folks also thought 7th Heaven was ending, and Everwood would be returning. So, what do they know?

This may not be the last we see of Aquaman, though. The Washington Post reports the series is still a contender as a midseason replacement.

For now, though, you'll have to be content with the show's trailer, still available on YouTube.
