Hey la, hey la, Jim Lee's back...
On WildCats, according to this Newsarama story, and paired up with Grant Morrison, no less. The series is set to launch in July of next year. Now, on to Lee:
To follow, and keep up with the mystery game, Lee wasn’t about to say just when this Wildcats series is set, either – is it a previously unknown mission from the group’s early days? Does it follow Wildcats v3.0 with the team being re-formed? Good question.
“All will be revealed soon. Just know we did not hire a genius on the level of Grant Morrison to just continue with the status quo. I guarantee old time fans and new fans will love what we has in store. What Grant and I have planned will do for the WSU what Hush did for Batman. It's going to be insane. In a good way.”
Now, I'm not sure yet. I was a really big 3.0 fan. Casey and Nguyen really broke some new grounds on that series, and I'd hate to see it retconned away. But before I start sounding like a disgruntled fanboy, I will say that I have faith in Morrison. Based on his New X-Men run, he's proven he can take a tangled continuity and make it whole again. I'll be in line to get this when it comes out.

I'll give it a try. Never bought a Wildcats comic in my life, but if Grant and Lee are doing it, I'll be there. Though I read the full interview and he talked about how it'll overlap with Ultimate Batman a bit and it'll be on a six week schedule. Granted it's Jim Lee and I'm more than willing to wait six weeks for his art, but I say give the guy a rest. I believe he went straight from Hush to Superman and then straight into Ultimate Batman. I'd rather give Jim 2-3 months lead time and then have a fairly monthly Wildcats.
