Greg Pak on writing

Greg Pak gets interviewed by Comic Foundry on writing and his upcoming work on the sequel to Neil Gaiman's 1602:

I've never made a point of picking projects which might be perceived as controversial. But one of the challenges of working in mainstream comics is the fact that almost every character comes with a history and background beloved to thousands of fans. But I like to think of that as a positive thing – a character’s history is what makes him or her deep and compelling. So working within continuity is a gift – it provides a million ways to make a story deeper and more resonant.
