BKV talks Ex-Machina movie deal

Brian K. Vaughan on New Line optioning DC/WildStorm's Ex-Machina:

“I don’t really want to get into the details too much about what Tony and I own and what DC owns, but DC is very generous, and they allowed us to control aspects of the rights,” Vaughan said. “We always consult with them, and they’re a big part of the larger picture. But yeah – at the end of the day, the film rights for Ex Machina belong to Tony and me, and we split everything 50/50. And with New Line – I already had an existing relationship with New Line, thanks to Y: The Last Man, which they renewed their option on, so I’ve had a really good time in dealing with them on that, and now this.”
