Second sting
On the final page of Black Widow #6 Marvel indicated a follow-up series is in the works. The second chapter will be written by the same author on volume one, award-winning sci-fi novelist Richard K. Morgan.
I'm very happy to hear Morgan is up for another round of Widow. His take on the character is easily the best I've read. Under KMo's pen Natasha has acquired some much needed depth and history. And she's actually dangerous. She moves and thinks like a spy. If you piss her off she isn't gonna scold you with a stern smile and a sultry sting from some queer wristband; she will twist a fat blade in your bulbous, beating heart and watch you die.
For chapter two I'd really like to see Marvel go MAX with BW. Morgan's hardcore spy-stylings would work really well in an unrestricted format. We'd get more adult intrigue, more of the stabby, and maybe we'd even get the Nick Fury who sleeps with a half dozen blonde hookers and says things like, "The next crumb of dickcheese tells me I can't smoke one of these, I'm going to put it out in their motherfucking eye."
