Horror-rific!

Avatar Press artist Jacen Burrows has been hinting for upwards of a month that some new big project was coming his way, but the powers that be were still keeping it under wraps. Thanks to the dutiful reporting of CBR, this secret is secret no more.
Avatar has acquired the rights to publish several horror titles based on classic New Line Cinema properties Nightmare on Elm Street (to be drawn by Juan Jose Ryp), Texas Chainsaw Massacre (attached to Burrows) and Friday the 13th (with Mike Wolfer). Avatar originally made its name doing somewhat seedier boob books and horror stories. These titles should all fit into the latter category and will probably be a perfect fit there.
Also, if anyone is familiar with Burrows' work (with Garth Ennis on 303 and Warren Ellis on Simon Spector of late), there really aren't too many artists in the industry better suited to do this kind of material. His attention to descriptive detail in a scene blows my mind.
