More casting news on 'Ghost Rider' movie

Fox News Channel is reporting that actress Eva Mendes (Out of Time, Hitch) is the latest to be cast in the upcoming Ghost Rider movie, to be written & directed by Mark Steven Johnson (Daredevil). Already cast is Nicholas Cage as the title character, and actor Wes Bentley as the villianous Blackheart.

Johnny Blaze has a dark secret - he is the Ghost Rider - who can grab you and force you to re-live tenfold all the sins you have perpetuated in your life... if there are too many sins, you'll burn up and incinerate. The Ghost Rider is unstoppable as he dishes out a hellish justice on his Hell-Cycle.

Fans weren't too hot on Johnson's adaptation of Daredevil in the past, but the jury's still out on this one. As an avid comics fan, Nicholas Cage has been angling to star in this movie since the late 1990s.
