Dreamwave’s Beast Wars first appeared in the Transformers Summer Special one-shot. Back then, Transformers fans were asked to vote for the next mini-series that they’d wanted to see from Dreamwave. “Beast Wars was able to beat out Robots In Disguise by an overwhelming 80%,” the publisher’s publicist Candice Chan said.

According to Dreamwave President and artist Pat Lee, Dreamwave had completely sold out of the Transformers Summer Special. “We had great reviews especially on Beast Wars,” he added. “It was great for fans since they got a glimpse of an array of TF titles that we have never published before.”

Wow, I wonder what duo of writers wrote that series. It couldn't be the same writers that were recently "fired"? Nah.

Well, at least they got paid...Oh, whoops. Nevermind.
