Peter Kuper plans children's book, new graphic novel
ICv2.com reports that Peter Kuper, the artist behind Sticks and Stones, The System, Richie Bush and countless covers for magazines like Time and Newsweek, has two new projects in the works.
The first, Theo and the Blue Note, is due Oct. 19 from Viking Children's Books. It is "the story of a would-be jazz cat that is filled with the angular energy of bop and includes tributes to musical greats like the immortal Charlie Parker."
The second, a graphic novel called Stop Forgetting to Remember: The Autobiography of Walter Kurtz, is due next July. It's "a 'sort of' autobiographical account of the life of Walter Kurtz, a semi-famous cartoonist in the midst of creating an autobiographical graphic novel, who suddenly must deal with the changes wrought by the arrival of his first child."
