Gumby returns to comics this July

Mel Smith of Wildcard Ink has provided us with four pages of artwork from their upcoming Gumby comic. Written by Bob Burden and drawn by Rick Geary, the comic arrives in July with a free bendable Gumby figure.

Smith also provided an update on Burden's health. He said Burden is "recovering nicely, but is still in the ICU." Fans can send cards and letters to Burden at:

Smith also said the website http://www.gumbycomics.com/ will go live next week with a contest to name the letter column. He also told us that this summer he will reprint the '80s comic Miami Mice by Mark Bode to coincide with the release of the Miami Vice movie.
