20 Questions For You All For the 3/30 Comic Week
I am sure there are some spoilers involved in the following 20 questions. Feel free to answer or not - some of them ARE rhetorical, after all...
1. Anyone else SHOCKED that Hal Jordan guest-starred in Geoff Johns' Superman?
2. How funny is it that Ultimate Wolverine vs. Hulk has about the same schedule aa Lost?
3. Isn't it kinda annoying how DC has stripped their "Greatest Stories Ever Told" volumes to the bone? Reading then new version of The Greatest Superman Stories Ever Told after reading the original version is sadder than the ending of that M*A*S*H episode where Col. Blake dies!
4. Do you have problems with Lois Lane's belt on this cover?
5. Have any suggestions for the ten goofiest plot points from the first ten issues of Fantastic Four?
6. The issues came out what seems like twenty years ago, so could someone remind me - the revelation at the end of Iron Man #6 - were there clues in the first five issues?
7. What DO you think is the over/under on issues before Catwoman's baby is kidnapped?
8. Wouldn't a good retcon be that the Joker was behind ALL of Jeph Loeb's stories?
9. Who's more annoying: Atlas or Samson?
10. Any fans of the whole "re-dialoguing" comics shtick? I guess if they ever let a really good scripter try it out, I'd be more of a fan...
11. Now that Infinity War is collected, what is left? "Blood and Thunder"? Or the classic Silver Sable/Cage/Terror, Inc. crossover, "For Love Nor Money"?!?!
12. How awesome was it that Ed Brubaker actually made "Goldbrick" sound COOL in the 65th Anniversary Captain America one-shot?
13. Anyone like the Arana/Spider-Man special? I think it's a good sign a character is lame when not even Tania Del Rio can make me like her...
14. Anyone pick up the Alias Omnibus? If so, what's the verdict? Worth it?
15. Isn't it a bit early to be doing the Krakoa storyline again in the Ultimate books?
LIGHTNING ROUND!!
16. What was your favorite Justice League cartoon episode?
17. What was your favorite Batman: The Animated Series episode?
18. What was your favorite X-Men: The Animated Series episode?
19. What was your favorite Super Friends episode?
20. What was your favorite Super Powers episode?
1 Comments:
1. Nope.
2. Well, at least they scheduled it bimonthly to start. Unlike a certain cantankerous Brit's take on a classic Marvel character.
3. Oh SNAP!
4. That's a belt?
6. I seriously doubt it. Ellis had finished the first DRAFT of the script to #6 in July. JULY! When a real professional would have had it finished by January '05 at the latest. There aren't any clues to speak of- I suspect Ellis threw out a good chunk of his original story because of Granov's slowness too.
And how stupid did that sound, "Yes, to show the world the new technology, I'll create a supervillain for Iron Man to fight!" The point's kind of destroyed when Ellis has no, NO public reaction to Mallen's rampage.
7. End of issue #58.
8. Yeah, but that would let Loeb off the hook, and that's one thing he doesn't deserve.
11. DON'T GIVE THEM IDEAS!!!
12. If there's one thing that is seriously, uncool, Cronin, it's Brubakers Captain America run.
13. "Cool! Byron Penaranda- ah crap, Jonboy Meyers."
16. "The Greatest Story Never Told" tied with the one about Hawkgirl and GL kissing.
17. "Almost Got 'im."
