Where's Nightcrawler?

If you've checked out the third X-Men movie's official website or its Internet Movie Database listing, you might have noticed that Alan Cummings, who played Nightcrawler, is missing from the roster. Fans who are curious to know what caused Nightcrawler to "bamf" out of the film's plot may want to grab the X-Men 3 video game this May.

Written by screenwriter Zak Penn and X-legend Chris Claremont, the game is a prequel to the third film. It will feature Wolverine, Iceman and Nightcrawler as playable characters, with other heroes and villains appearing as well, like Colossus:



The game explains Nightcrawler's "mysterious absence" from the movie, and in-game events foreshadow the roles of the X-Men and Brotherhood in the film.
