CBG awards nominations due Feb. 28

The annual Comics Buyer's Guide fan awards are approaching, and this year Maggie Thompson and co. are doing things a little bit differently by accepting nominations for the final ballot:

It's time once again for Comics Buyer's Guide's annual Fan Awards, where you, the fans, pick your favorites of the past year.

For the 24th annual presentation (and after numerous requests), we've initiated a nominating round and ballot -- nominations coming exclusively from visitors to CBGXtra.com!

Between now and Feb. 28, follow this link and tell us your favorites from 2005 in 12 categories:

Favorite Editor
Favorite Writer
Favorite Penciller
Favorite Inker
Favorite Colorist
Favorite Letterer
Favorite Artist
Favorite Comic-Book Story (arc orindividuall issue)
Favorite Comic Book
Favorite Original Graphic Novel or Album (no TPB collections)
Favorite Character
Favorite Publishing Company

We'll tabulate the results and have a final ballot available online in early March. A list of the nominees will appear in CBG #1618.

Remember, as with your votes in the second round, only one set of nominations per person. You must provide your name and your accurate, current mailing address to be eligible to nominate; if you provide more than one set of nominations, all of them will be thrown out!

Finally, only material with a 2005 publication date is eligible for consideration.
