Fumetti lives in the digital age
Jim Lee, George Perez and every other comic professional out there better watch out--that Halo 2-addicted kid down the street is about to become the competition:
Comic Book Creator is the first PC based Self-Publishing software to integrate the comic book and video game industries. Comic Book Creator's Self-Publishing software will allow a gamer or comic book enthusiast the opportunity to "Make Your Own Comic". You, as the artist will now be able to easily self-publish and share your own comic book adventure captured and created from your PC based video game play.
And I thought videogames were the reason kids stopped reading comics, but it turns out that every gamer out there is secretly a comic creator waiting to blossom:
"Video Gamers can now create a professional-looking, high-quality comic book to immortalize an important battle scene or dramatic encounter within their game play," notes Donovan. "Comic Book Creator lets gamers add in text bubbles to their digital screenshots, as well as classic comic book features like POWerful action-word graphics that emphasize their game play. Game play is a very personal digital experience of time spent playing your favorite game and now you can share your virtual character identity and experience with your friends online through email, posting to your blog and printing out your own personalized comic."
Interested Comic Book and Video Gaming enthusiasts are "encouraged to please visit: http://www.PlanetwideComics.com and create lasting memories."

I wonder if this is related to the comic-book creation software I had as a kid in the early nineties. Don't remember the exact title of the old one.
It was pretty lame though. It was basically a collection of clip art of very generic super-hero characters, with generic sci-fi/adventure backgrounds and props, and a lot of BAM BIFF POW sound effects. This new one doesn't sound very different.
You screwed the pooch, Mike. Had you mastered that computer game from way back when(which I remember seeing, wanting, but never getting. I was 8 or something.) you too could have your name on the cover of one of the various different Infinite Crisis tie-ins.
Ain't that a bitch?
