Muppets return to primetime

As a kid, I loved the Muppet Show ... the guests, the songs, the zany fun, the muppets ... that show had it all. MSN reports that the Muppets might return to primetime with a reality spoof, America's Next Muppet, if ABC decides to pick it up.

The premise has the ring of such shows as "American Idol" or "America's Next Top Model," in which the audience picks potential new stars.

I'm not convinced they can capture the muppet magic without Jim Henson, but I'm willing to give them a chance. They had a knack for the art of the parody.
