The Week at the Curve
The week of February 27th was the week of the Oscars, a week of great Curve editorial, and of course a few more industry news events. Lea kicked off this whirlwind week with a report in two parts (1 & 2) about everything you also might have slept through--particularly if you missed the presentation of Best Animated Feature to The Incredibles.
Check out the ongoing discussions begun this last week on the state of inking, Middle Eastern comics, and even the arguments going on within Zach's Comic Book Liberation Army.
The Big Groan of the week can go to the announcement of Stan Lee's new graphic novel. Alright, so Dave Gibbons is involved, so it might not necessarily stink to high heaven. But on iBooks? I'll bite my tongue and reserve judgment on this one.
Thumbs up go to 7-11s, who are now carrying some Marvel titles once again.
On a more sombre note, however, the week saw the passing on of Archie letterer Bill Yoshida, a great man with a great story certainly worth reading about.
With that posted, I bid you adieu, Curve Cadets, as I take off toward other endeavors for the day. But always remember, you hit your little brother; you can hit a hookah; and occassionally you can hit off of Kerry Wood. But ain't nobody out there but nobody hits the Curve.
