Countdown thoughts (contains spoilers)

You've all read it by now (or will soon enough), so what do you think? What did you think about the handling of Beetle and his death? Or Booster? Or Maxwell Lord? As a big JLI fan I've been waiting for Lord to pop back up, but it kind of cheapens those stories for me. I do think this was the best Beetle appearance in years. I like how it set up the following four mini-series'. I'm also glad that somebody actually knows who the heroes all are. It's not like they've been amazingly careful, even Batman has made some choices that point to Bruce Wayne as the Dark Knight. I guess we'll just have to sit back and enjoy the ride (or hate the ride, for those of you who don't like the story and don't want it to seep into every DC comic you pick up for the next year).

By the way, did anyone else read the letter from Dan DiDio towards the end? He mentions that this is all leading up to Infinite Crisis, the SEQUEL to Crisis on Infinite Earths. Holy Hyper-Time DC fans, this is getting wacky.
