Stan's new lady

“Alexa is my latest and most subtle superheroine,” Lee told CSN. “The series deals with a comic book company trying to get the story rights to the lives of two twenty-foot-tall superhero giants who suddenly appear from a rift between dimensions. Alexa works for the comic book company and begins to wonder: are they really superheroes, or something far deadlier? Also, what is the mystic bond between her and the mysterious giants from another realm? It goes from there.”
They say you're supposed to write what you know and I guess Stan is doing just that. Who knows more about superheroes and comic companies than the man who helped kick start the industry? Enough ass kissing, back to the book. Who's working on it?
“I came up with the concept and plot, and Dave Gibbons worked on the character designs, some of which appear as gorgeous full pages in the book. Then Steve Roman wrote the script based on my plot, and away we went! The finished graphic novel features art by Gibbons, Dan Jurgens, Chris Malgrain, and others."
Sounds like a good crew. This brings up a question for me regarding OGN's. ADD recently posted that comic companies should be putting these out constantly. I don't really see how that would work. The reason trades work so well is because some people buy the single issues and talk about how great they are and either buy the rest of the issues or wait for the trade. The same could be said for an OGN, but the price is much higher and all you have going into it, besides others' opinions is the creator's name on the book. I understand why Stan would release this as one OGN because it's through a "real" book publisher, but what do you all think about this in general? Should companies focus their energies (not all, but more than what they do now) on OGN's?
