The Three Tenors of comics

Things are looking up for Bill Messner-Loebs. Aardwolf Publishing recently announced that he, Dave Cockrum and Clifford Meth will be working together on a collection of wacky tales entitled Three Tenors: Off Key. This combination of talent is pretty appealing, but, to me, the best news is that Messner-Loebs will receive 75% of the profits after expenses.

“Everyone at Aardwolf is singing about The Three Tenors: Off key,” said Reeber. There will be nine stories in all: three from each creator. I can't give away any plots, but it's all weird science, weird heroes, and stuff to make your head spin. The trade paperback will be available through Diamond, but we’re opening the curtain with a signed/numbered Limited Edition of just 400 copies. As for the economics, Loebs will get 75% of the profits after printing/shipping/costs; Cockrum’s stories and art are being purchased outright, and Meth gets an ice cream cone.”

Bill's thoughts on the project:

“My gratitude for and fear of this project knows no bounds,” says Loebs. “I used to be a baritone, but for Clifford I’ll be a tenor.”

Looks like a good thing for everyone involved.
