What a Way to Start the Morning [False Alarm Update]

[Update: Since ADD first wrote this item, it has been confirmed that D&Q is just fine and the victim of innocent Jim Lee confusion, please go to this comments section for Lee's clarification.] The scarily-observant Tom Spurgeon picked up on a horrifying-if-true statement by Jim Lee -- that artcomix publisher Drawn and Quarterly might be going out of business. Lee has since edited the post, saying he crossed some wires in his statement; I presume my assumption that he was confusing Highwater (which IS out of business, unfortunately) with D&Q (which is NOT going out of business).

As the publisher of cartoonists like Seth, Chester Brown, Joe Matt, Kevin Huizenga, David Collier and many others, D&Q is second only to Fantagraphics as the most important and vital comics publisher in North America.

I see D&Q is having a sale on their site; this morning's brief scare notwithstanding, I will say that you should take advantage of the sale in any case. You can find Comic Book Galaxy reviews of their titles by clicking here.
