Courts Decide that Marvel Owes Stan Lee some Money

I'd actually forgotten that this case even existed, but apparently a decision has been reached...

If I'm reading Newsarama's article (linked in the title above) correctly, it has been decided that Marvel does indeed owe Lee 10% from profits on movie and television project based on Marvel properties, as well as from related merchandise produced by Marvel itself. But it's also been decided that Lee is not entitled to anything from profits on items produced by third-part licencees.

Marvel of course plans to appeal the portions of the case that they lost, so I guess this still isn't over yet.

At any rate... I find this result (and the reaction) interesting.
