If you've been out of the loop, the Joe Silver/Wachowski Brothers production of Alan Moore's masterpiece V is for Vendetta has been confirmed. Directing will be James McTeigue, who assisted the siblings in directing the Matrix trilogy. Yes, that would be the same team responsible for the Matrix films. And the latest news has Natalie Portman cast in the role of the fair damsel rescued by the masked anarchist. Am I just being too pesimistic and closed minded about this news? Or are we indeed looking down the throat of yet another Moore comic-to-film butchering a la LXG (shudders at mere thought of movie poster labeling said film LXG).
