As Long As It's Not The Usual Superman...

"Kate Bosworth is in negotiations to play the Man of Steel's plucky fellow reporter, and Kevin Spacey is set to play the superhero's nemesis in Bryan Singer's Superman movie for Warner Bros. Pictures."

Bosworth sounds more like a done deal than a negotiation, and thank God. The very idea that Claire Danes was considered for Lois Lane does concern me. I'd much rather have an actress capable of smiling play the part.

Kevin Spacey? Can't get enough of him. Loved him since The Usual Suspects. The man can do just about anything.


I'm not feeling any disappointment with Singer attached to this film. X-Men and X-Men 2 are probably the best superhero genre movies ever made and I see him bring that type of expertise to the Superman film. I'm very interested to see what he will do, and, in particular, with how Routh will look as Clark Kent and Superman.

What I really don't like is the fact that we won't see this until 2006, but I suppose I can wait. I'll have to, won't I?
