Support for Messner-Loebs Grows

Growing out of the thread at Millarworld regarding creator William Messner-Loebs current plight (as covered by TGC here) and Millar's call to support Messner-Loebs, a petition has been started. The petition succinctly expresses a desire to see new work from Messner-Loebs ("ANY comic mini series drawn by Bill Loebs").

While TGC is unsure what impact the petition may have (and where it may be sent), one has to appreciate the sentiment behind it. At present, there are more than 300 signatures. Given the number of people that visit Millarworld (and hopefully read this blog as well), one would expect the number of signatures to grow substantially once more folks know of its existence.

One final thought to end on regarding this matter. Whenever someone in the industry passes on, the number of tributes and postings that pour out in the direction of the creator and their family is amazing to me. Here's a chance to appreciate and help a creator while he is still very much alive. Step up to the metaphorical plate people, please.
