Can't Wait for Wednesday
It's another "big" week for comics, as DC's One Year Later titles continue to roll out, Marvel relaunches Squadron Supreme as a non-Max title, Image launches a brand-new Cyberforce series and Fantagraphics releases the next volume in their excellent Mome anthology.
I was set to talk a little bit about DC's One Year Later titles, but my friend Tom did so yesterday much more eloquently than I could have. So instead, I'll just throw out a recommendation for my pick of the week. If you enjoyed Alan Moore's ABC line and you missed it last year when the hardcover came out, then I highly recommend Top Ten: The Forty-Niners softcover. It tells the story of Neopolis in infancy, when former Nazis and vampire gangs threatened the city, and old enemies became friends while defending their new home. It's Gene Ha at his best, bringing to life Moore's brilliant imagination. Check it out.
