Can't Wait for Wednesday

So how much of a fanboy am I if I geeked out over seeing Jessica Alba and Eric Bana presenting at the Oscars last night? C'mon, Sue Storm and Bruce Banner would make a great pair, if she wasn't already married.

Anyway, a pair of comics this week also have me geeking out. The first is Marvel's Thunderbolts, which reaches a pretty significant milestone as its 100th issue drops on Wednesday. The villains-who-would-be-heroes are still going strong with that old-school Marvel flavor.

Second is American Virgin #1, which sees the triumphant return of two of my favorite creators, Steve Seagle and Becky Cloonan. I snagged my retailer's advance copy of American Virgin last week, and it follows in the footsteps of all the recent high-quality Vertigo books like Testament and DMZ in providing fun, intelligent entertainment. I've been a fan of Seagle's since House of Secrets, and Becky is just one of the coolest people in comics. If you liked her work on Demo, you'll love it here.
