Can't Wait for Wednesday

This week sees several new series, the end of a long-running one and the return of one of last year's best. From DC, there's American Way #1 and Warlord #1. And while those two are just beginning (again, in Warlord's case), Wonder Woman #226 marks the end of the amazon's latest series (with a new one sure to come after Infinite Crisis). Image unleashes Portent #1 this week as well as a script book for Invincible.

Meanwhile, Marvel has a big week ... not only do we see the debut of Spider-Man's new costume in Amazing Spider-Man #529, not only do they kick off the Storm/Black Panther mini-series that leads into the couple getting hitched, but this is also the week we've been waiting for since issue 12 came out many moons ago -- the return of the Astonishing X-Men by Joss Whedon and John Cassaday, which happens to be my pick of the week.
