Superhero Hype! has information up on Who Wants to be a Super Hero?, the Stan Lee-produced reality show that was announced some time ago. It will air on the SciFi Channel.

In nationwide open casting calls, potential heroes will arrive in costume to prove their mettle, revealing the true nature of their superhuman abilities and invoking the noble credos by which they live. From these thousands of hopefuls, Stan Lee will choose 11 lucky finalists to move into a secret lair and compete for the opportunity to become a real-life Superhero!

Ironically enough, today Warren Ellis found a couple of contenders:

so tonight is the first night in a new era here in indianapolis. the dawn of the age of superheroes. after realizing the total lack of justice in the world, my friends and i have decided to become superheroes in order to balance this fracturing planet of ours. tonight, with my partner in crime fighting “Mr. Silent”, we went around the city helping people and stopping fights,drunk drivers,and a group of young dumb kids hitting an old woman’s car.

I guess we'll find out if Dr. DiscorD and friends have a chance. This guy may have something to say about it.
