USA Today on X3
Just in time for the debut of the X3 trailer, USA Today ran a story this week addressing reactions to a new director helming the third X-Men movie.
"I wouldn't have come back if I thought we weren't going to do the series justice," says Jackman, who plays the popular mutant Wolverine. "I think X-Men— and Bryan — led the rebirth of comic book movies. We weren't going to treat a third one lightly."

I'm pretty sure that they were contracted to do additional movies, regardless of the director. So that's a little disingenuous.
