Kirk Jones cast as Blade on Spike TV
Superherohype.com reports that Kirk Jones has been cast as Blade, filling Wesley's Snipes' shoes in the television drama based on the movie trilogy. Jones, AKA "Sticky Fingaz" for the rap Onyx ("SLAM!"), was on the recently-canceled FX show "Over There" and had a recurring role on "The Shield."
Screenwriter David Goyer, who wrote the "Blade" trilogy as well as Batman begins, is executive producing and co-writing the script with DC Comics writer Geoff Johns. Interestingly enough, at the Wizard World show this past weekend in Texas, Dan Didio mentioned Johns' involvement in the show and that Goyer was on his wishlist of people he'd like to see return to comics.
Spike TV is gunning for Blade to debut next June.

Micheal Jai White was the obvious choice how the hell did you guys miss that this is gonna be as big a mistake as casting David Caradine over Bruce Lee for the role of Cane in Kung Fu
I totally agree, he'd be much better.
