8/17 Comics: the Good, the Bad and the Ugly

THE GOOD

Klarion the Witch Boy #3!!

The bad guy in Godland pumping the blood of an alien into his brain to get high.

The nice, slice of life, issue of Witchblade by Ron Marz.

New X-Men: Hellions giving us a nice wrap up of the series.

Peter Parker and Kitty Pryde!!! Probably the best issue of Ultimate X-Men in, oh, three years or so.

Strong issue of Ultimate X-Men as well.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch #69.

THE BAD

STUPID OMAC THINGS!

The art on the latest issue of Arana: Heart of Spider. Whether it was Roger Cruz or Francis Portela, it was weak art for a book I am already not enjoying.

Manhunter killing off or making insane all the previous Manhunters. Why?!!?

To top it all off, this issue heavily featured....STUPID OMAC THINGS!!!

Weapon X: Days of Future Now's art. A rushed looking Bart Sears.

Sabrina being waaaay too slow to pick up on the whole "why is Shinji upset?" thing in the latest Sabrina.

I took issue with Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's handling of Sue and Reed's relationship, in that he knocks Reed a BIT too much for it to be cool for Sue to forgive him.

THE UGLY

New Thunderbolts #11 having to tie in with House of M in the MIDDLE of a storyline!

Birds of Prey #85 playing by the rules, and having Richard Dragon appear like he did in his recent ongoing. MAN, did he look dorky there!! This is the guy who supposedly trained all the Bat-folk? The guy looks like Richie Cunningham!

STUPID OMAC THINGS!!!
