In case you're wondering what Norm Breyfogle's up to

As most loyal TGC readers now, we're quite fond of Norm Breyfogle. And while for a time he dropped off the face of the comic industry, Breyfogle returns with Of Bitter Souls, from newbie publisher Speakeasy and Relative Comics.

Speakeasy announced yesterday that the series would see its official launch at Wizard World Chicago next month.

From the press release:

Of Bitter Souls is the story of a mysterious New Orleans Pastor named Secord who chooses four individuals and adorns them with powers that, to their delight or disgust, are directly related to their worst character flaws. It begs the question, what should we do with the gifts we are given? Under the guidance of Pastor Secord, the four flawed heroes will be set loose on the vampires, ghosts, zombies and other supernatural baddies that are so prevalent in New Orleans’ legends. They will be a force for good… that is if they don’t destroy themselves with their own powers first. Of Bitter Souls mixes New Orleans mythology & architecture with superheroes and theology, Of Bitter Souls is a full color monthly, ongoing series and will be available for $2.99. Along with a purchase of OBS #1, readers will be treated to a printed preview for Satterlee's second monthly title from Speakeasy, Smoke & Mirror.

This is all well and good, but can we get Norm on Batman? Pretty please?
