Let me say, that while I think editors are vital, and there are many great ones, Mike Gold is the best or among a very small crowd of the best. In the above linked work, he writes of the passion he has for Joe Kubert's work, and for the book TEX that has come out by Kubert. It is a wonderful thing I think, that the comic world remains exciting to a longtime veteran of the industry. When you read such enthusiasm, how can you think that anything is ever wrong.
