Small bites ...

More DC Comics cartoons on the way?
Scripps Howard News Service provides a quick overview of the status of comic book-based cartoons. I don't think there's much new here -- the Teen Titans TV movie, Legion of Super-Heroes, etc. -- but the article cites Cartoon Network officials as saying they're "currently developing other superhero franchises from DC Comics."

Boy Proof author to write graphic novel
In an interview with Montreal Mirror, comics fan and young-adult author Cecil Castellucci (Boy Proof, The Queen of Cool) reveals she has a graphic novel in the works for a "major comic book publisher" whose name she wouldn't reveal. Egg, Castellucci's protagonist in Boy Proof, was a hardcore science fiction and comics fan.

Aguirre-Sacasa's almost-true story
New York City's The Villager talks to Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Sensational Spider-Man, Marvel Knights 4) about his new play, Based on a Totally True Story. "This is definitely my most autobiographical play," he told the newspaper. "I do write plays and comic books, and two producers did option one of my plays to turn it into a horror movie."
