Can't Wait for Wednesday
Two hot mini-series, Marvel Zombies and Batman and the Monster Men, wrap up this week, but if you're worried about your wallet being overstuffed with cash, never fear--several new series are also debuting. From Dark Horse, we have Archenemies, which could be fun; from Marvel there's a new take on Moon Knight; and AdHouse brings us Superior Showcase, featuring Nick Bertozzi, Mike Dawson and Dean Trippe.
Let's check in with The Great Curve irregulars to see what they're looking forward to:
Stephanie Chan's Pick of the Week
I think I'm going to pick the Overstreet Price Guide vol. 36. It's one of those things that I thought would be nice to have but never purchased. Lately, I've been organizing my collection and there has been enough times where I wish I had Overstreet around for reference, not so much for the prices, but to use like a deluxe checklist. I guess it's probably time to get one.
Hisham's Pick of the Week
Planetary #25: It's been years since the series debuted and it hasn't even cracked 30 issues? It truly is an event when a new installment of the adventures of Elijah Snow and company appears.
Tom's Pick of the Week
Batman and the Monster Men #6 should be a good conclusion to the (so far) excellent Matt Wagner miniseries. Wagner's supposed to do another six-issue mini-series pitting Batman against the Monk (not Tony Shalhoub, unfortunately), so anyone who can't find Monster Men back issues will probably have a collected edition before long. And, of course, I'm also looking forward to Infinite Crisis #6 and Planetary #25.
JK's Pick of the Week
Astro GN: Writer/artist Nilson and a small crash-landed astronaut take us on a road movie-like journey, encountering whimsical beings and events on the sides of the road. The art looks simply gorgeous, and the story sounds like a lot of fun.
So what are you looking forward to this week? Go check out the Diamond shipping lists and let us know!
