20 Questions For You All For the 4/26 Comic Week
I am sure there are some spoilers involved in the following 20 questions. Feel free to answer or not - some of them ARE rhetorical, after all...
1. With Legends of the Dark Knight #204, how many POSSIBLE skeletons are left in Thomas Wayne's closet?!?! You can fill a cemetary with the amount of skeletons that have come out of Thomas Wayne's closet just in LOTDK alone!
2. Have you read a bigger one-two punch in comics than the ending of Mom's Cancer and the afterword?
3. Which one of the Archer sisters in Godland do you like the best?
4. Who here thought from his work on Stormwatch and New Invaders that C.P. Smith was going to be THIS good of an artist?
5. For those out there who have seen the Wizard preview of Morrison's Batman, what do you think - dream?
6. Isn't there someone out there who can tell Coipel "Uhmm...hey, guy, Cap isn't square-shaped."?
7. The giant-wolf head on skinny girl look that Sook came up with for Wolfsbane in X-Factor - that's lame, right?
8. If you could ONLY pick one title, which one would you choose? She-Hulk with Paul Smith on art or Thing with Andrea DiVito on art?
9. After the first two parts of the Storm/Black Panther wedding storyline, has Hudlin made you think better about the story idea?
10. The bit in the latest Planet Hulk where a different famous artist draws an origin sequence for each of the cast members - was that always planned, do you think, or was it a last-minute thing? None of the artists were mentioned in the solicitations.
11. Hey, even though it was awesome, would that count as a mis-solicitation and therefore returnable, that Marvel did not solicit the extra artists? Or does it have to be a completely different art team than solicited for it to be a mis-solicitation?
12. Did Ms. Marvel join the New Avengers in an issue I missed? Like #17 and a half?
13. Would you be disappointed if I told you I sorta dug the scene in Ultimate Fantastic Four where the unpowered Ben Grimm beats up the Skrull bad guy?
14. Who was your favorite obscure hero to be featured in the Villains United Special?
15. Do you like the idea of adding the new cast member in Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane?
LIGHTNING ROUND!!
16. Whose art do you like better? Eric Canate or Andy McDonald?
17. Whose art do you like better? Adam Austin or Gene Colan?
18. Did you like the original Film Freak?
19. Think that's Don Blake in this week's FF?
20. Captain America vs. Black Panther - who wins in a fight?
2 Comments:
1. ...Sigh. Justin Gray sucks.
3. The hot one! Oh, wait, they're all drawn by Thomas Scioli. So, uh... The hot one! No, I'm just kidding. THe mean one with the piercings who just hangs out.
4. Are you yankin' my crank, Cronin?? That issue was just as shitty as Smith's previous work, he was drawing everything in silhouette to disguise that fact. Or he was late with the issue.
5. I think I hate Los Bros Kubert's work SO DAMN MUCH.
6. Or, "Stop sneezing on the damn pages!"
7. Exceptionally. Where's my sexy hairy Blevins girl, dammit?
8. That's a trick question, right? Smith won't make it to issue #12.
Anyway, I prefer Keiron Dwyer to the both of them, so fa fa fa!
10. Last minute thing, I'd think. Otherwise they wouldn't have done a Newsarama article to call attention to it. Pagulayan blows anyway, so it's nice to see alternatives.
11. I dunno. I think it does count as returnable.
12. Also sort of ironic since the current arc in Ms. Marvel is all about how Carol doesn't feel WORTHY enough to be in the Avengers (why that is, I dunno- thankfully Reed doesn't seem to have the issues w/women that Bendis does- he LIKES Carol- so I don't mind that much).
16. Canete (Sorry Andy!)
17. Dude, that's a lame joke.
18. Who?
19. What?
20. Black Panther. Of course, if Hudlin or Priest is writing it, it'll be in a sullen, implausible way that makes them both look like jerks.
2. Really not what I was expecting, there. For a book called "Mom's Cancer" that was, well, about as fun as you can get!
