20 Questions For You All For the 4/19 Comic Week

I am sure there are some spoilers involved in the following 20 questions. Feel free to answer or not - some of them ARE rhetorical, after all...

1. Can you pinpoint exactly what the worst thing about Bruce Jones' Nightwing is?

2. What do you think was the biggest thing that the latest Nextwave was missing?

3. Did you like the ending of Daredevil #84?

4. Which artist who has not had toys based on his or her design do you think SHOULD have toys based on their design?

5. Adi Granov to Patrick Zircher takes some getting used to...but can you name a transition in art teams on a comic book that can match the infamous Tom Grummett to Bill Jaaska turn on New Titans?

6. Did John Romita design Nova's first costume? What has been the worst costume change Nova has gone through? This current one, or the one from New Warriors Volume 2?

7. Was there a cooler line in comics this week than "Maybe you gotta be more like the man your horse used to love"?

8. Who did a better job in becoming known as a historical pirate? The Thing or Vandal Savage?

9. I must have blanked out some of JL Detroit - why did Gypsy run away, exactly?

10. Which sequel was more unnecessary? Scarlett or Bite Club: Vampire Crime Unit?

11. Did ANYthing original happen in Man-Bat #1?

12. Anyone pick up the second print of Mouse Guard? If so, what did you think?

13. Since DC is collecting all of the Byrne revamp issues into trades, wouldn't it have made more sense to not have them in the "Superman in the 1980s" trade?

14. What Dan Slott comic is funner - The Thing or Big Max?

15. Which comic is less bad? Red Sonja or Red Sonja/Claw?

LIGHTNING ROUND!!!

16. Whose X-Men run are you looking forward to more? Mike Carey or Ed Brubaker?

17. Whose Superman run are you looking forward to more? Kurt Busiek or Geoff Johns and mystery guest (presumably, Richard Donner)?

18. Whose Batman run are you looking forward to more? Grant Morrison or Paul Dini?

19. Whose run are you looking forward to more? Joe Kelly on Supergirl or Bruce Jones on {sigh} OMAC?

20. What artist would you most want to see a SOLO from?

1. Can you pinpoint exactly what the worst thing about Bruce Jones' Nightwing is?

Probably the fact that the whole TWO NIGHTWINGS OMG thing has already been done...better.

3. Did you like the ending of Daredevil #84?

Actually, yeah, but it's getting a little to retarded that everybody and their bookie is going to be stuck in Rykers. They could've at least set up the storypoint that all those DD villains were there back in Bendis's run.

4. Which artist who has not had toys based on his or her design do you think SHOULD have toys based on their design?

Mike Wieringo!

5. Adi Granov to Patrick Zircher takes some getting used to...but can you name a transition in art teams on a comic book that can match the infamous Tom Grummett to Bill Jaaska turn on New Titans?

The Frank Quitely takeover on X-Men was pretty drastic (and awesome).

9. I must have blanked out some of JL Detroit - why did Gypsy run away, exactly?

I think she got into a fight with Pie-Face and the old Atlanta Braves mascot.

16. Whose X-Men run are you looking forward to more? Mike Carey or Ed Brubaker?

Mike Carey. Brubaker's lineup and Billy Tan's costume designs aren't getting me psyched up. But we'll see.

17. Whose Superman run are you looking forward to more? Kurt Busiek or Geoff Johns and mystery guest (presumably, Richard Donner)?

What's more exciting than a MYSTERY GUEST?

18. Whose Batman run are you looking forward to more? Grant Morrison or Paul Dini?

Morrison. I love Paul Dini's old Batman work, but his recent JLU episodes have played a little too cutesy and neglected plot holes. But I expect both writers to be a real WIN for the Bat-Universe.

19. Whose run are you looking forward to more? Joe Kelly on Supergirl or Bruce Jones on {sigh} OMAC?

I know I'm the P:R guy, but If they're not fixing either character's weak costumes, I'm not going to be reading.

20. What artist would you most want to see a SOLO from?

Dean Haspiel!

Mike Wieringo has at least one Spider-Man figure to his name. It's ace. Two versions: Spider-Sense Spider-Man (with light-up eyes) and, um, the other one, which you could probably find if you looked hard enough.

His Spider-Man 2211 will almost certainly make it into plastic. It's ace, too.

Did you read Bendis' last issue? They were all in the final scene, in Ryker's together.

Nova's costume from New Warriors vol.2 was definitely the worst. But, then, I couldn't get past the first issue of that run anyway.

anonymous - YEAH, in the LAST ISSUE. Plus, now they're bringing in Bullseye and Punisher? I mean I'm enjoying it, but it's a BIT MUCH.

Plus, Hard Time is getting canceled? Is Ex Machina gonna get canceled because Green Arrow is a mayor?
